Senior Production Manager – Volleyball Lead
Position Summary
The Senior Production Manager (SPM) – Volleyball Lead serves as the operational authority responsible for the execution, venue management, and gameday production of a high-ranking postseason exhibition showcasing the nation's premier high school volleyball and football prospects. This position leads practice operations, athlete hotel experience management at the Resort Hotel, and full broadcast showcase production at the Venue.
In addition to leading volleyball operations, the SPM provides secondary operational leadership for the High School Football, Girls Flag Football, and 8th Grade Football events when volleyball timelines allow, supporting venue management across multiple venues.
Core Responsibilities
1. Volleyball Operations & Venue Production (Primary Focus)
- Venue Setup & Asset Load-In: Manage complete site staging, net system setup, and branding deployment. Oversee court net tape, padded pole covers, sideline A-frames, score table wraps, step-and-repeats, tents, and feather flags.
- Practice & Gameday Schedule Execution: Direct operational timelines for player practices and the televised match. Oversee court walk-throughs, pregame Ceremony protocols, team warm-up schedules, and postgame MVP award presentations.
- Broadcast & Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as primary operational liaison for Client event leadership, Brand’s sports marketing, Athlete directors, Venue management, and Broadcast production crews.
2. Football & Multi-Sport Operational Assistance (Secondary Focus)
- Practice Staging: Assist football leads with practice field setup, sideline branding, equipment logistics, and media tent management.
3. Logistics, Inventory & Operational Compliance
- Truck Load & Inventory Management: Track and manage event equipment using official Truck Load Lists, ensuring all volleyball nets, branding banners, AV gear, and recovery equipment are accounted for and re-packed.
- Policy & Safety Enforcement: Enforce brand compliance (prohibiting competitor logos), credential/wristband access policies, emergency action/inclement weather protocols, and financial expense guidelines.
Qualifications & Key Competencies
- Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience in event production, venue operations, or athletic administration, specifically managing broadcast-quality events.
- Technical Volleyball Expertise: In-depth knowledge of volleyball competition standards, floor rigging/net system installation, and televised match runs-of-show.
- Vendor & Partner Leadership: Demonstrated success partnering with venue management, municipal facilities, sports marketing leads, and broadcast networks.
- Communications & Problem Solving: Strong operational leadership and decision-making skills under tight event timelines and high-visibility environments.
- Computer Literacy: Familiarity with G Suite programs (Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Sheets, Google Drive), Motive, and expense reporting apps.
- Vehicle Operations: Demonstrated the ability to safely operate a 32-foot box truck and maintain HOS logbooks; follows FMCSA, USDOT, State, and Local laws and regulations; possesses a current DOT Medical Card, Valid driver's license, and clean driving record.
- Physical Requirements: Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach in an automobile, and indoor and outdoor environments.
- Valid and active driver's license - Availability: Must be fully available during the program dates including: early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation
- Day Rate: $325.00 per day
- Meal Per Diem: $50.00 per day
- Lodging: Client provided at a Marriot Resort-style Property.
- Expenses: Travel and approved expenses reimbursed.
- Uniforms: Brand provided athleasure wardrobe for all event days including socks, footwear and headwear.
